Vice President Dennis Leno “USE THE TOOLS-SOCIAL MEDIA”


In 2013, Forbes magazine published an article on the impact of social media on the sales profession. What they found out was highly unexpected. The most fascinating find was that in 2012, 79% of salespeople using social media out sold those who weren’t using social media. Not only that, social media users were 23% more successful than their non-social media peers. Interestingly social media not only helped connect with customers, it also helped close deals.

Looking at those numbers you would think that these salespeople were spending all their sales time on the computer. In actual fact the salesperson using social media used much less than 10% of their sales time on social media. This kind of return on investment is amazing! The study listed the top sites used by sales people were (in order):

  1. LinkedIn
  2. Twitter
  3. Facebook
  4. Blogging
  5. Google +

Social Media has become an essential tool in a salespersons tool box. In the next few weeks and year we will be giving tips on Social Media and its use in connecting with customers and making sales!
